Essay efforts produce D.C. trip for county students

In what, according to Cumberland Electrical Membership Co-op is, “a tradition for co-op students since the late 1950’s,” four Robertson County students were part of a contingent of 12 young people sponsored by CEMC who won an all expense paid trip to the nation’s capitol in June.

Back to School Immunization Requirements

The Tennessee Department of Health (TDOH) has issued new immunization rules and a newer Official Immunization Certificate (Form # PH-4103) that is required for school entry into certain grades.  This applies to students who will be entering 7th Grade where 2 immunizations will be required.

District Graduates generate scholarship dollars

A total of 681 graduating seniors from Robertson County's  five public high schools received a combined $11,014,738.00 in scholarship funding during the 2013-2014 school year to be applied to their college education.

Special Olympics hosted for sixteenth year

Robertson County Special Olympics began in concert with several counties known as Area 12 Special Olympics. In 1988 after a growth in participation, Robertson County became Area 24. Throughout the years there have been several sports offered for the athletes including: Basketball, Bowling, Soccer, Swimming, Track and Field, Skiing, Flag Football and Volleyball. The current sports that are offered are Track and Field, Bowling, and Basketball. In the future, the Area hopes to add Swimming and Bocce.
