PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION: A Growing Problem with Youth

Drug abuse trends change--- DARE America responds.  With the upswing in the abuse of prescription and over-the-counter medication (Rx/OTC) DARE has initiated a curriculum directed at this problem.   Over the next few months the Robertson County Sheriff's Office in cooperation with the Robertson County Board of Education will be presenting classes based on this curriculum, to parents and the general public at different public schools through out the county. Although this material will not completely stop this growing trend it is a good start at awareness.

In an effort to educate students, parents, and community members on the growing problem of youth and prescription medication, a program will be held at each high school in Robertson County with the expectation that all stakeholders will attend the program at their community high school.  This is for parents of students of all grade levels.
